Whats To Do

Not sure what to do on your stay with us!

We have put together a few ideas, to help fill your days / evenings whilst you stay here in Haworth

FRIDAY

Two great options for any Friday afternoon

  1. Walk to Brontë Falls & Top Withens finished off with Fish & Chips in Stanbury.  7.7-Miles

  2. Walk to Brontë Falls and back via Fish & Chips in Stanbury. 5.5-Miles

Both walks take you via the the Wuthering Heights Inn for Fish & Chips Supper!

These are two of our favourite Friday adventures, the walks take in all the local sights and both finish with great fish and chips then a short walk back to Haworth and back into the Hideaway, we usually manage the walks between 2 and 3 hours then spend way too long in the Wutherings, especially on a winters night when the fire is going!

Please do try these out, if not for the pub then for the views, it would not be a visit to Haworth without seeing them.

Click the button below to visit 'OS Maps' for full downloadable routes and or GPX files, or save the maps below to your phone.

Fish and chips are served from 17:30  (£10 with pot of tea or coffee) dog friendly country pub with some good local beers. They have a good menu of other pub classics along with our favourite.

SATURDAY

A perfect Saturday can be found with this lovely walk over the hill tops to Hebden Bridge followed by an afternoon exploring the bars and if you are lucky there may be a band on at Hebden Bridge Trades club, the best bit is the you only have to walk one way!

Its an 8 mile walk taking in beautiful footpaths, river side walks and ancient footpaths. The walk usually takes about 4 hours. As you drop into Hebden Bridge you walk past The Blue Pig, call in for a pint in this curious 'working mens club' then along the river bank... On a sunny afternoon, you might not want to leave The Blue Pig, don't say we did not warn you!

It is well worth checking out the gigs list at The Trades Club as they often have some famous groups on, you can easily get a taxi back to Haworth after if you don't make the bus.

Busses run at 12 past the hour with the last bus home 19:12

SUNDAY

A trip to Haworth would not be complete without a nostalgic journey along the Worth Valley Line on The Haworth Steam Train, we have put a link to the timetables on the button bellow as they change all year round, keep an eye out for special trips!

Then we recommend a Sunday roast up at The Old Sun Inn (link below) they have a great menu, one or two or three good beers and lovely friendly staff plus its only a 5 minute walk back on to Main Street. We have never had to book but it might be worth giving them a quick call just in case: 01535 322022

And by far the most important thing to do between 11:30 and 16:00 is to pop downstairs and say hi to us in the Gallery!
