Returns and cancellations
Changing your mind about an online order
- If you bought online, you may cancel within 14 days of the day you receive your piece, or the day you collect it. You do not have to give a reason.
- To cancel, email contact@abrahamsgallery.com or write to us at 83 Main Street, Haworth, Keighley, BD22 8DA, giving your name, order number and the piece. A simple message such as "I would like to cancel order AG-1001" is enough.
- You then have a further 14 days to return the piece to us.
Sending a piece back
- You are responsible for returning the piece to us, and for the cost of doing so. You may bring it to the gallery instead.
- Please send us proof of posting, with the tracking number, when you send it.
- Please pack it at least as well as it was packed when it reached you, and use an insured, tracked service. The piece is your responsibility until it reaches us.
- The piece must come back in the condition it left, with its frame, glazing and any certificate.
Your refund
- We will refund the price and the standard delivery charge you paid, to the card you paid with.
- We will pay it within 14 days of receiving the piece back, or of you sending us proof that you have posted it, whichever is sooner.
- If the piece comes back damaged or showing signs of use beyond what was needed to look at it, we may reduce the refund to reflect the loss in value.
What cannot be cancelled this way
- Commissions. We do not take orders for work made to your own request. If you would like to commission one of our artists, we will put you in touch with them, and any agreement is between you and the artist.
- Purchases made in person in the gallery. There is no legal right to return these because of a change of mind, and we do not generally accept returns. If there is a problem with something you bought from us, please talk to us.
If a piece is faulty or not as described
This applies however you bought, online or in the gallery.
- Tell us as soon as you can, with photographs.
- Within 30 days of receiving the piece you may reject it for a full refund.
- After 30 days we may first repair or replace it. If that is not possible, or does not put it right, you are entitled to a refund or a price reduction.
- Where a piece is faulty, we pay the cost of returning it.
Fair wear and tear, accidental damage after you received it, and fading or warping caused by direct sunlight, damp or heat are not faults.
